Parts of lubrication and maintenance of trailer valves
Valve stem: The valve stem is a key component of the trailer valve that moves frequently. The friction between its surface and the valve body or seal requires good lubrication to reduce wear.
Bearing: If the trailer valve contains a bearing structure inside, these bearings are also key parts for lubrication. The lubrication state of the bearing directly affects its rotation flexibility and service life.
Piston and piston cavity: The piston moves in the piston cavity and requires lubrication to reduce friction and wear while ensuring sealing performance.
Other moving parts: Depending on the specific structure of the trailer valve, other moving parts may also be included, such as springs, connecting rods, etc. These parts should also be lubricated and maintained when necessary.
Methods of lubrication and maintenance of trailer valves
Choose a suitable lubricant: Choose a suitable lubricant type according to the material, working environment and use requirements of the trailer valve. Generally speaking, a lubricant with good high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance should be selected.
Clean the lubrication parts: Before lubrication, the lubrication parts should be cleaned to remove dirt, dust and old lubricant residues to ensure that the new lubricant can fully function.
Apply or drip lubricant:
Apply method: For lubricating parts that are easy to touch, such as valve stems and bearings, you can use a brush or fingers to evenly apply the lubricant on the surface. Be careful to avoid applying the lubricant to non-lubricating parts.
Drip method: For parts that are difficult to apply directly, such as the inside of the piston cavity, you can use a dripper to drip the lubricant. The dripping should be appropriate to avoid too much or too little.
Check the sealing performance: During the lubrication maintenance process, the sealing performance of the trailer valve should also be checked. If the seal is found to be aging, damaged or not sealed tightly, it should be replaced in time to ensure the sealing effect.
Record lubrication maintenance information: In order to facilitate subsequent management and maintenance, the time, location, type and amount of lubricant used for each lubrication maintenance should be recorded.
